INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) today announced the full list of recipients of the 16th Annual STAR Awards on December 7, recognizing excellence exclusive to the association management profession in Indiana.
STAR Awards, short for Society’s Top Association Recognition, was the first awards program in Indiana dedicated to celebrating the association management profession and the individuals who power its success. On Dec. 7, a sell-out crowd of nearly 230 association professionals gathered for celebration, networking, and charitable fundraising at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites. This year, a task force worked diligently to create a more relevant and welcoming judging process, creating awards that looked at programs holistically and categorized entries not solely according to budget.
Attendees participated in a silent auction, networking and dinner, as well as a highly acclaimed awards program where individuals, associations and supplier partners were honored for their dogged work throughout the year.
In addition to celebrating professional achievement, the STAR Awards program, held on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, benefitted the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF) through a highly successful silent auction. Attendees bid on more than 40 items in the evening's silent auction, raising more than $5,800 for local veterans in need. They also participated in an on-site food drive to support the HVAF food pantry, donating a large box filled with nonperishable items.
